PNE visited Hartmanice on Monday and we held our class in the Synagogue. Here are a few images of the day, including the PNE '08 group, the Bloch house, and the farm (top two & bottom) where 12 women died on the Death March from Auschwitz.
wandering thoughts
...which would allow us to cross the immensity of space would prove useless, because if we landed on Mars or Venus with the same senses, these senses would clothe whatever we would see with the same appearance of what we see on Earth. The only true voyage, the only fountain of youth, would not be to travel towards new lands, but to have another hundred eyes, to see the universe with the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to see the hundred universes that each one sees, that each one is.- Marcel Proust

What fine photos. What a great adventure. Your students look pensive, as well they should.
